Everybody loves a nice summer glow, but tanning can be complicated whether you're tanning on a bed, at the beach or poolside. Each method calls for different tanning etiquette. Here's a few tips....
For sun tanning:
- Cleanse skin of all make-up creams and perfume liquids that make skin susceptible to sunburn
- Moisturize with SPF lotion before and after tanning
- Tan for 25-30 minutes
- Wait 2 days before tanning again
For tanning beds:
- Use lamps with low UVB rays, they make for a longer lasting tan
- Do not remain in bed for more than 10-15 minutes
- Don't tan completely naked
- Use lotions with DHA (dehrdroxy acetone). Its makes skin glow brighter
