Iconic Collection: Josephine




She was known as the Bronze Venus, Black Pearl, Creole Goddess, and in France La Baker. American singer, dancer and actress, Josephine Baker, was the first African-American to star in a major motion picture, integrated an American concert hall, and became a world-famous entertainer. She was active in the Civil Rights Movement and the first American-born woman to recieve the French military honor the Croix de Guerre.
